Christmas gets into gear this weekend in Portarlington, with the Lions Club’s long awaited Christmas Bonanza and Trade Fair, and even Santa will be calling in for some last minute additions to his sack.
The fair is the culmination of two months of carefully collected toys from the local community, and many other items too, all to be sold and the proceeds to be given to local charities. It is the first time for Port Lions Club to hold a toy collection, and judging by the generous donations they received, it may be the first of many.
The event takes place in the Community Centre this Saturday December 1 at 2 pm. The Club are again calling on the generous support of the Portarlington and the wider community to support the sale, and grab a bargain in the process.
There will be over 25 stalls on the day selling everything from the hundreds of Lions Club toys, to cakes, jewellery, books, art and crafts and numerous other articles from local traders. The Laois Craft Group will also be in attendance.
A retail therapy experience at its best to suit all pockets and tastes, with a guarantee of bargains galore.
