THE organisers of this year’s Phoenix Arts Festival are looking for people of all skills and ages to get involved and make the festival on May 7 & 8 the best yet.

Are you an Artist? Sculptor? Teacher? Demonstrator? Are you a good Decorator? Carver? Organiser? Volunteer? An open night for the Phoenix Festival is being held this Friday, March 11 at 9pm, upstairs in Fergie’s bar and as a little taster of the good things to come, some of the best local musicians and acts will be performing. With music from One Up, Gavin Ghee, SideFX and RaggamanBob as well as performances from TADS and Stagecraft, and Live Art from DOTS and Kevin Connolly, this really is a night not to be missed.

It is also the perfect opportunity for individuals and groups to find out what is in store for this year’s festival and to sign up for performance events and ground work if so inclined.

Closing date for event applications is Monday March 14 and application details are available online.

If working or participating in any of these areas appeal to you - or if you have any other ideas of what you would like to see at your festival that are not mentioned above, then come along to Fergie’s Bar, Market Square, this Friday March 11 at 9pm and get involved.

All are welcome to this great night of entertainment, the starting point to another great Phoenix Arts festival! Full details at www.phoenixfestival.ie
