According to Met Eireann, Monday is set to be a wet day with heavy rain in places.
The national forecaster is expecting it to be mostly dry tonight with clear spells just the odd shower near the northwest coast. Rather cool with lowest temperatures 7 to 10 degrees Celsius. Windy along north and northwest coasts but westerly winds will ease, backing southwesterly later.
There will be some early morning brightness in eastern areas on Monday morning, but generally rather cloudy and rain will become widespread across Connacht, west Ulster and parts of west Munster in the morning with some heavy falls in places during the morning.
However the rain will become more scattered in the afternoon and will extend eastwards with dry periods at times. Parts of south Leinster may hold mostly dry until evening. Breezy with freshening southerly winds. Highest temperatures 15 to 17 degrees Celsius.
