Met Eireann is forecasting sunny spells and showers today, some heavy this morning and falling as sleet, mainly on high ground. Less showery later this afternoon, when top temperatures will be in the range 7 to 9 C., in moderate west to northwest breezes.

According to Met Eireann, frost, ice and fog will clear tomorrow to give a dry, bright and fairly sunny morning. Rain will develop along southern coasts in the afternoon and will extend through Munster and much of Leinster in the evening, giving some heavy and possibly thundery falls of rain. Top temperatures 7 to 9 C., in freshening easterly winds.
