There was a great show of support for John Healy as he completed his 26th marathon during 2026 recently.
John took on the rigorous task at the start of the year in memory of Ashling Murphy. On September 20, he finished the challenge at Sacred Heart School in Tullamore where Ashling was a past pupil.
John was given a warm welcome by SHS students and staff who wore T-shirts in tribute to Ashling. Many students joined John for laps of the pitch as he completed the challenge raising vital funds for the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund.
Music was also provided at the event by the SHS Trad Group as everyone in attendance celebrated Ashling’s life and legacy.
