Book of evidence being prepared in relation to alleged offence in Tullamore

THE book of evidence in the case of a man accused of assault last year will be ready in a fortnight, Tullamore District Court was told.

Dylan McMahon (29), Kilpatrick, Kildangan, Monasterevin is alleged to have assaulted Kasper Lusztzylski, causing him harm, at a flat at Church Street, Tullamore on October 8, 2023.

Mr McMahon was represented by David Nugent, BL, when his case was called before Judge Andrew Cody and Sergeant Brendan Kearns applied for a remand to January 24 next.

Sergeant Kearns said he expected the book of evidence to be ready within two weeks and Judge Cody ordered that Mr McMahon, who is currently in custody, be brought before the court on January 24.

Mr McMahon also faces a charge of stealing €14 worth of Budweiser from Lidl, Church Road, Tullamore.
