Bank of Ireland in Tullamore raises over €2,000 for Offaly Hospice

The donation forms part of a wider fundraising initiative involving colleagues from Bank of Ireland branches across Laois, Offaly, Longford and Westmeath
THE team at Bank of Ireland Tullamore was delighted to present a cheque for €2,008.71 to Dr. Humphrey O’Connor and Mick Hannon of Offaly Hospice, following a successful regional fundraising campaign in support of local hospice services.
The presentation took place at the Bank of Ireland Tullamore branch, where staff were joined by representatives from Offaly Hospice to mark the occasion and celebrate the generosity of the local community.
The donation forms part of a wider fundraising initiative involving colleagues from Bank of Ireland branches across Laois, Offaly, Longford and Westmeath. Last month, staff took on the challenge of climbing Croagh Patrick, raising more than €10,000 for the five hospice organisations serving the four counties.
The funds raised will help hospice services continue to provide specialist palliative care and vital support to patients and their families across the Midlands.
Speaking at the cheque presentation, Bank of Ireland Bank Manager for Offaly , Darren Butler thanked everyone who supported the fundraiser through donations and encouragement.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by our customers, colleagues, family and friends. The support received made this fundraising challenge a great success, and we are proud to contribute to the invaluable work carried out by Offaly Hospice and the other hospice organisations across our region.”
Offaly Hospice representatives Dr. Humphrey O’Connor and Mick Hannon expressed their sincere appreciation for the donation, acknowledging the difference it will make in helping the hospice continue to provide compassionate care and support to those who need it most.
The initiative highlights Bank of Ireland’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves and demonstrates the positive impact that can be achieved when colleagues and local communities come together for a worthy cause.
