Offaly area to host vigil for the late Ashling Murphy this evening
An Offaly area will host a vigil for the late Ashling Murphy this evening.
Killurin Community Alert and Development Group will host a vigil this evening, Wednesday, February 9, in memory of the Offaly school teacher.
The vigil marks a month's memory for Ashling and will take place at Killurin GAA clubhouse at 7.30 pm. All are welcome and participants are asked to please wear a mask and socially distance.
Those taking part are also asked to bring candles to the vigil.
Ashling was murdered while out jogging along the Grand Canal just outside Tullamore on Wednesday, January 12 last.
