Scoil Mhuire agus Chormac held successful fundraising campaigns recently

Students, parents and the community in Kilcormac, came together with the help of generous prize givers and sponsors, to raise €6740.70 to refit the sensory rooms at Scoil Mhuire agus Chormac

"We can't express how grateful we are for the support, this is such an essential room in our school as we have two units, plus children in mainstream who avail of this facility," said parent Heather Collins.

Added Heather: "Children, parents, our community and others, joined in over the three weeks and we celebrated the end of the fundraiser with a big party just before Christmas.

"Every single penny raised has gone to much needed funds our sensory rooms. We have two units here in Kilcormac and also children in mainstream needing the vital facility.

Student Cian Colbert alone raised €200 for the refit with his Mammy's help (pictured above)

"We are so grateful to all the people who have come forward to help us, we are still blown away by what amazing people we are surrounded by and everyone who has taken on a role to help us."
