Clonbullogue village: new housing scheme on way

THE construction of six new houses in Clonbullogue is scheduled to begin next month.

A published commencement notice said work will begin on a terrace of six three-bedroom houses in the east Offaly village on November 3.

The two-storey houses will be built as a single block along the street.

The move comes a year after Richie Conlan was granted planning permission for the development at a site on the Rathangan Road at Richie's Bar (also known as The Forge).

Airfield View, St Bochan's and Cluain Bolg were proposed as names for the scheme and the Offaly County Council heritage officer agreed that the name Cluain Bolg should be used.
