MEMBERS and friends of Offaly U3A (University of the Third Age) are in for a fascinating talk this month when Bonnie Vance shares her unique perspective on the story of Charleville Castle.
The talk will take place in the Bridge House, next Wednesday October 15 at 7.30pm. All Welcome.
A driving force in the castle’s restoration and preservation, Bonnie has been deeply involved in the Charleville Castle Trust which has worked tirelessly to rescue the once-derelict building and return it to its rightful place as a cultural and community landmark.
Under her stewardship and vision, Charleville Castle has become much more than an architectural treasure – it is now a vibrant centre for heritage, the arts and international visitors, as well as the source of many intriguing stories and legends.
Bonnie’s passion for history, conservation and community engagement promises to make this U3A event one not to be missed. All welcome.
