THE Local Link 840 Banagher to Tullamore bus will be unable to stop at three dedicated areas over the 16th, 17th and 18th of September due to the National Ploughing Championships.

The bus normally stops at Ballinamere School, Ballinamere GAA and Coolnahiley but will be unable to do so during the event.

Normal services are due to return to normal following the championships which is expected to draw massive crowds from all over the country.

Transport for Ireland are advising people using Local Link bus services to plan for at least double the normal travel time due to traffic.

• Carpool if you can to reduce traffic congestion.
• Familiarise yourself with the traffic plan and know your route, is their advice.
