TRANSITION Year students from Tullamore College recently enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Kippure Estate and National Park. The day offered a perfect blend of environmental science and outdoor adventure.
As part of their visit, students conducted a river study, where they measured river velocity and explored the features of a natural water system. In addition to their fieldwork, the group also learned basic bushcraft and survival skills, gaining practical knowledge of how to thrive in nature.
The experience was both informative and enjoyable, giving students the chance to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting.
A big thank you to the teachers who accompanied the group and made the day possible: Ms Bradley, Ms Fox, Mr Feighery, and Mr A Moran.
