THE official opening of two new developments - on the Grand Canal and near Lough Boora Parklands in Offaly – which were due to take place on Wednesday next have been postponed.
The Leabeg to Boora link was to be opened at Lough Boora Discovery Park on Wednesday morning at 10.30am by the Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council, Cllr Audrey Hennessy Kennedy.
At 12 noon the Cathaoirleach was also due to officially open the Ballycommon Trailhead in Ballycommon on the banks of the Grand Canal.
The two openings have now been postponed and will take place at a later date, details of which will be announced in the near future.
Both developments are a further expansion of walking and cycling facilities for locals and visitors alike.
