Offaly Association members take part in colourful parade in the Big Apple

THE Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council, Cllr Audrey Hennessy Kennedy marched proudly behind the Offaly Association banner at a colourful parade in New York on St Patrick's Day.

Cllr Hennessy Kennedy was joined by the Chief Executive of Offaly County Council, Anna Marie Delaney for the parade and other events to mark the national holiday.

A large number of members of the New York Offaly Association also marched in the parade.

These included the legendary Offaly footballer, Martin Furlong, who lives in Pearl River and Tullamore natives, Paddy and Johnny Hogan, stalwarts of the New York Offaly Association.
