THE current traffic diversion on Colmcille St. in Tullamore have been completed in time for the St Patrick's Day Parade on Monday, March 17.

Tullamore hosts the biggest parade in the county and this Monday four local sports personalities will open the spectacle.

The parade commences at 11.30am.

The footpath upgrading on the Bury Quay side was completed last Friday and all diversion signs removed.

Work on the footpath upgrading on the Convent Road side will commence on Tuesday, March 18, and thus diversions will be in place again for this work.

Some roads will be closed in the town centre for the parade on Monday, March 17, from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m, outlined parade secretary Cllr Sean O'Brien.

The Gardai and Parade Stewards will assist with traffic movement and motorists are requested to co-operate with the Gardai and Stewards so that the Parade can be managed safely.
