Offaly junior squad begin All-Ireland campaign this weekend

Offaly Camogie

The Offaly junior team will take to the pitch for the first time this Saturday as they face Waterford in the opening round of the Liberty Insurance Premier Junior Championship.

Offaly have had a significant break since they took on Kilkenny in the Leinster Intermediate semi-final where they scored 1-5 to Kilkenny's 0-17.

Although Kilkenny won the game by nine points, the result did not reflect the work rate and some of the excellent play of the Offaly junior team.

Players to watch on this squad will be Lusmagh/Drumcullen's Kaitlyn Kennedy, St.Rynagh's Louise Mannion, Birr's Dawn Whelahan.

Their management team of Brendan Hanamy, Benny Wyer, Theresa Ryan and Leona Kennedy will be hoping to open their campaign with a win on Saturday.

You can follow their progress and get full fixture details on Offaly Camogie's social media channels.
