In a repeat of the national league relegation final, Offaly face Wexford in the Leinster senior quarter-final this Saturday in St. Brendan's Park, Birr at 3pm.
Wexford's fall from grace was a huge talking point of the Littlewoods Ireland national League back in March when Offaly relegated Wexford in Kildare on a scoreline of 4-15 to 1-6 in Newbridge.
There has been quite a gap since Offaly lined out with all county players allowed to play in the club league this year and a repeat result is expected come this weekend.
No doubt Wexford will be gunning for Offaly given their most recent meeting but Offaly go into this game at almost full strength with only two known injuries, Arlene Watkins and Christine Cleary.
Arlene has a groin tear which could take up to six weeks to heal, while Christine Cleary was concussed in a recent challenge game against Dublin.
Separately, Jean Brady was recently married and is unavailable as she is away on her honeymoon.
Preparations for this game have been hampered by the club league as the county squad only had a handful of sessions while the club league was being played.
It is also understood that attendance at training has been low in recent weeks. Should Offaly defeat Wexford on Saturday, they will face Laois in the semi-final the following weekend as the championship ramps up.
