The all-conquering Rhode GAA club are taking their success on tour as their U13 footballers head to London this weekend for Peter McGlynn tournament.

The young Rhode charges will play in the tournament from Friday, May 3 until Sunday, May 5.

19 players, 22 adults, including coaches, are travelling to the tournament.

On Thursday night last, the team and management were presented with Twelves Rhode club gear for the tournament, sponsored by the club.

Much fundraising took place over the last few months and the club said much praise must go to the team and management, minor chairman and secretary, as well as parents and those who supported the St. Patrick's Day parade bucket collection and Easter raffle.

The club also thanked those who gave sponsorship for the trip, including the Intel Grant Match Scheme. The Intel organisation contribute to clubs and societies based on the voluntary hours their employees give to their chosen club.

"A massive thank you to Rory Swaine for choosing the underage club trip for this wonderful sponsorship," Rhode GAA said.
