Lowry teams up with old pal Harrington for Zurich Classic
Offaly's Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington are pairing up for an Irish tilt at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on this week’s PGA Tour as the tournament enters a third year of a new format.
The unique two-man set-up will see pairs of golfers play fourballs and foursomes over the four days. It is the second year in a row the firm friends have combined at the unique tournament.
Lowry warmed up perfectly for the event with an excellent third-place finish at the RBC Heritage event last week.
The pair performed well in the Zurich Classic last year, finishing in a share of 28th place on 11 under par.
Paddy Power is offering odds of 40/1 for a win for the Irish team in New Orleans.
Harrington and Lowry tee off on their first round at 7.10pm (Irish time) on Thursday evening, April 25.
