Shane Lowry has been handed a tough draw at the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin which gets underway on Wednesday.

The Offaly man is up against two hardened Ryder Cup campaigners who also happen to be the two most recent winners of The Masters.

He starts his campaign in Group 16 against Spain's Sergio Garcia on Wednesday. On Thursday he faces off against the man European Ryder Cup fans love to hate, American Patrick Reid before rounding off the group against another American, Andrew Putnam on Friday.

Only one player progresses from each group to the round of 16 with the winner of Shane Lowry's group likely to face off against World Number 1, Dustin Johnson.

Shane gets his tournament underway at 7.40pm Irish time on Wednesday.
