One change in Offaly team named to face Longford on Sunday

John Maughan has reshuffled the pack and made one personnel change in his team to take on Longford in the second round of Division 3 of the Allianz League this weekend.

The game takes place at 2pm on Sunday in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford and comes after Maughan's men lost their opening game to Westmeath in O'Connor Park last weekend.

Maughan has made just one change with Nigel Bracken replacing fellow Tullamore man Paul McConway.

McConwaywas black carded midway through the second half of the Westmeath defeat.

Bracken will slot into the half-forward line alongside Anton Sullivan and captain Niall Darby, while Peter Cunningham is shuffled back from midfield to fill in the centreback role vacated by McConway.

Recent Kilmacud Crokes acquisition Shane Horan also sees a positional change as he moves from half-forward to midfield after a powerful and accomplished display against Westmeath.

Cathal Mangan continues alongside him in midfield while it is as you were in the full forward line with Bernard Allen, Ruairi McNamee and Johnny Moloney named to start once more.

Although out of retirement and in the playing panel, Niall McNamee is not expected to feature in this week's squad as he continues his recovery from injury.
