Shane Lowry is right in contention again on the European Tour following his incredible win in Abu Dhabi last weekend.

The Offaly golfer is just four shots off the lead going into the weekend at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic after carding a second round of five under par. He is currently in a tie for 13th place.

He had a steady front nine with two birdies and no dropped shots and he added four more birdies on the back nine, including the last, although he did drop a shot on the par 4 12th.

Shane is currently four shots behind the leading par of Australian Lucas Herbert and American Bryson Dechambeau. Herbert carded an incredible nine under par round on Friday.

Shane is leading the Race to Dubai and already up to Number 41 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
