Shane Lowry jumps into the Top 50 in the world and tops the Race to Dubai after Abu Dhabi win

Shane Lowry has jumped back into the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings off the back of his tremendous win in Abu Dhabi last week.

After starting the week at number 75, Lowry's win over a top quality field propelled him all the way up to number 41. He also is the clear early leader in the Race to Dubai after picking up a winners check of just over €1,000,000.

Winning the event and being inside the Top 50 is a huge boost for the Offaly golfer who lost his PGA Tour Card last year. The win guarantees him a place in all four Majors this year and the lucrative World Golf Championship events.

Lowry struggled on his front nine in the final round but he dug deep to secure his fourth tournament win.
