Offaly hurling club apply for extension and facilities upgrade

St. Rynagh's Hurling Club has applied to Offaly County Council for permission to extend and renovate to existing facilities.

The plans lodged with the council seek to turn the club's existing single-storey squash court into a two-storey structure.

This new structure will comprise of training facilities on the ground floor and a meeting room on the first floor.

The overall height of the existing squash court will not be altered.

Part of the clubhouse extension will comprise additional space for the first-floor meeting room by addition of a first-floor extension to the front, increasing its overall height to that of the existing squash club at the club.

Offaly County Council will now consider the proposals before making a decision in the coming weeks.
