Offaly player nominated for Camogie Soaring Star Award

An Offaly player has been nominated for a Camogie Soaring Star Award.

Tullamore Shannon Touhey, the goalkeeper with the Offaly Junior team, is one of only four Junior players nominated in the 45 strong list of nominees. The remaining 42 players all competed at Intermediate level in 2018. Shannon is up against Down's Maria McNally and Cork's Amy Lee. Cork won the Intermediate title while Down were the runners-up.

The 2018 Camogie Soaring Stars will be announced on the same night as the Camogie All-Stars team. The banquet will take place in the Citywest Hotel on Saturday November 3. Offaly's Siobhan Flannery and Roisin Egan are nominated for All Stars. The awards are sponsored by Liberty Insurance.

Nominees for the Camogie Association/WGPA Senior, Intermediate and Junior Players' Player of the Year Awards sponsored by Liberty Insurance will be announced next week.
