Offaly's round 2 football qualifier game with Clare will have a 1.30pm throw-in on Sunday, June 24, at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park, it has been confirmed.
Offaly were drawn against the Division 2 outfit on Monday morning having accounted for the challenge of Antrim on a 2-20 to 1-15 scoreline in O'Connor Park on Saturday evening.
Paul Rouse's men will be buoyed by that performance having played an attractive brand of football and scoring 2-15 of their total from open play.
The test provided by Clare will be a tougher one despite their 0-32 to 0-10 loss to Kerry in the Munster Championship semi-final.
They finished third in Division of the Allianz Football League, picking up wins against Louth, Cork and Down, and draws with Tipperary and Cavan. They lost just two games to Roscommon and Meath.
Offaly survived on the final day of the Allianz League with a win over Westmeath but lost to Wicklow in the Leinster Championship, a sequence that resulted in the dismissal of then manager Stephen Wallace. Offaly will, however, have the benefit of home advantage.
The game takes place at 1.30pm on Sunday, June 24 at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park, Tullamore.
