Offaly teams setting off on road to Feile na nGael
Offaly teams are on the road to Feile na nGael today hoping to bring back silverware to the county as the best U-14 hurling and camogie teams in the country come together for the annual festival of hurling.
Kilcormac/Killoughey, CRC Gaels, Clara/Brosna Gaels, Birr and St Rynagh's will all proudly represent Offaly at Feile na nGael which is based in Galway but features locations in a number of counties.
The Group games start this evening and are completed tomorrow with the quarter-finals taking place tomorrow afternoon. The semi-finals are on Sunday morning with the finals on Sunday afternoon.
Kilcormac/Killoughey are in Division 2 Hurling Group C alongside Galway clubs Michael Cusacks and Ardrahan and Kerry side Ballyduff.
CRC Gaels are in Division 4 Hurling, Group B and in their group they will face Galway sides St Thomas, Salthill-Knocknacarra and St Galls from Antrim.
The combination of Clara/Brosna Gaels will be based in Sligo and in their group they will face Naomh Eoin (Sligo), Castlebar Mitchells (Mayo) and Cootehill Celtic (Cavan).
In Camogie, Birr are in Division 2 Group A and they will be based in Westmeath for their group games. They will face Raharney (Westmeath), Mullagh/Kiltomer (Galway) and Ballycastle (Antrim).
St Rynagh's are in Division 4 Group D and they will be based in Ardrahan. They will face another side from the banks of the Shannon, Portumna along with Crusheen of Clare and O'Moore's from Laois.
