Shane Lowry to tee off at the Memorial Tournament on PGA Tour this week

Offaly golfer Shane Lowry is hoping to follow his 15th place finish at the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth last week back on the Memorial Tournament on the PGA Tour.

Lowry tees off at 1.15pm on Thursday on his first round back on the PGA Tour in Ohio. Lowry will be buoyed by a good performance last week on the European Tour that saw him just miss out on a Top 10 finish.

The Clara man played well over the weekend, following his rounds of 69 and 71 with two rounds of 70 to finish on a score of eight under par at one of his favourite courses.

He'll play alongside Sweden's David Lingmerth and South African legend Ernie Els in Ohio. He has been priced at 90/1 to triumph against a classy field, including Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy.
