Current Offaly county hurling champions, Kilcormac-Killoughey, have applied for planning permission with Offaly County Council to construct a new playing pitch and gym at their current grounds.

The development would include floodlights for the new pitch and existing pitch, as well as the construction of a new gymnasium on the grounds.

An outbuilding to house a generator would also be built as part of the proposals submitted to the planning department of Offaly County Council in recent weeks.
