Lowry looking to get back on track at Phoenix Open

Shane Lowry

Offaly's Shane Lowry will be looking to put last week's Farmers Insurance Open disappointment behind him when he tees off in the Phoenix Open on Thursday.

The Esker Hills man looked well placed in the Top 20 after the first round last week, but folded badly on Friday to miss the cut at three over par.

That was Shane's first tournament of the year on the PGA Tour and he will be hoping very better fortune second time out as he tees off at 19:20pm (Irish time) with KJ Choi and Brendan Steele.

TPC at Scottsdale was a happy hunting ground for Lowry in this tournament last year as he finished in 16th spot on ten under par, alongside the likes of Jon Rahm and Phil Mickelson.

He has been priced at 50/1 by the bookies as he aims to get his early season form back on track. Stay up to date with Shane's progress on www.offalyexpress.ie
