Offaly's Faithful Field to receive €90,000 sports grant funding

Offaly's Faithful Field to receive €90,000 sports grant funding

Offaly GAA's new Faithful Fields facility is set to receive an €89,000 allocation under the Regional Sports Capital Grant scheme, according to Offaly TD, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy. 

She announced that Brendan Griffin, Minister of State for Tourism and Sport has informed her of the allocation.

The Faithful Fields project was completed earlier this year and unveiled after a huge fundraising efforts from Offaly GAA supporters.

Minister Griffin also indicated that Irish Clay Pigeon Shooting, Esker would also be receiving funding under the scheme. It will come in for a windfall of €28,500.

Marcella Corcoran Kennedy welcomed the news, which will be a welcome boost for the groups before Christmas.
