Edenderry Town FC have announced that former Republic of Ireland soccer captain and manager, Steve Staunton, will be on hand this weekend at a club junior academy tournament this weekend.

On Sunday, November 26, the club's DWK (Direct Wholesale Kitchens & Bedrooms) sponsored Junior Academy hosts the annual Jamie Quinn and Ollie Morgan memorial tournaments.

The club is delighted to have secured the former Liverpool and Aston Villa defender to attend to watch the next generation of talent in the town, and present the awards afterwards.

The U6 section of the tournament kicks off at 2pm with the U8s in action at 3pm. People are advised to arrive early as parking is expected to be limited.
