Seamus Darby's goal in the running to be Ireland's Greatest Sporting Moment on RTE

Seamus Darby's All Ireland winning goal in 1982 is in with a chance of being crowned Ireland's Greatest Sporting Moment of the 80s.

An RTE show is debating the issue to decide on a winning moment over the coming weeks with the 80s in focus tonight.

Darby is up against Ray Houghton's goal in Euro 88, which leads the vote at present.

Tune in to RTE 2 to see who is crowned the winner of the 80s at 9.30pm.

You can vote before that time on Thursday through Twitter and social media by choosing Moment 4.
