Participants from across the midlands descended on Tullamore recently for an U-18 Renshukan Tournament hosted in the Midlands Martial Arts Centre.
Clubs from Edenderry, Portarlington, Kinnegad and two from Tullamore were represented on the day.
This was the first event hosted since the association was set up and was organised by Liam Gorman, Gerry McCarthy, Keith Walsh, Liam Darcy, Gerry Walsh and Proinsias O’Farrell.
Instructors Prionsias and Gerry McCarthy will have gradings in the coming weeks with Prionsias aiming to become a second Dan and Gerry aiming to become a third Dan.
The Midlands Martial Arts Centre is based in the Tanyard in Tullamore and there are a a host of classes available from a variety of Martial Arts to gymnastics, pilates, yoga, zumba and more.
There is no membership fee and all classes are pay as you go, with classes priced around €5 or less per hour. For information contact 085 23 86 302.
