Tournament success for Offaly U-13’s

THE Offaly U-13 Football Development Squad, managed by Carina Haverty & Anton Sullivan, won their first inter-county tournament of the year last weekend.

THE Offaly U-13 Football Development Squad, managed by Carina Haverty & Anton Sullivan, won their first inter-county tournament of the year last weekend.

Hard work and impressive work ethic helped them to group victories over Laois and Carlow. All panel members played part in these games and in the final the ‘Faithful’ lads overcame Wicklow.

Offaly had the help of the breeze in the first half against Wicklow where all forwards contributed to the scoreline. The second half showed this panel through spirit where they worked hard to the final whistle, winning convincingly in the end by a 10 point margin.

Joe Hurley of Gracefield club lifted the trophy on behalf if this great panel where all Offaly Coiste na nOg clubs were represented.

Offaly U-13’s will play another match in O’Conor Park and receive their medals in a presentation immediately afterwards. Thanks to all parents who supported on the day.
