Walsh Shield SH semi-final

Offaly 0-23

UCD 0-12

The sides were deadlocked on five separate occasions during a competitive opening 28 minutes before Offaly took control and eased away to win.

Offaly lead by 0-9 to 0-6 at the half and they continued to build their advantage throughout the second-half.

With one eye no doubt on the Fitzgibbon Cup, UCD, who relied heavily on Liam Rushe and Conor Allis for their scores, faded badly in the second half as the 'Faithful County' outscored them by 0-14 to 0-6.

Shane Dooley maintained his accuracy from placed balls, with newcomer Thomas Carroll and the experienced duo of Brian Carroll and Joe Bergin also getting in on the scoring act to set up a final date with Carlow.
