Local radio statio Midlands 103 is set to broadcast more sport programming each weekend than ever before.
Serving Offaly, Laois and Westmeath, this Saturday Niall Colbert will present a new four hour show mixing sport with the best music from 5-9 pm. Throughout the year it will have updates and live coverage from a variety of sports across Laois including commentary on the National Football League and All-Ireland Qualifiers.
There’ll be coverage from the CCFL’s evening fixtures and increased coverage of Leinster League rugby.
Niall will also be featuring bands from around the Midlands live in studio, as well as taking text requests on 083 3010103.
While on Sunday Midlands 103’ flagship sports programme becomes ‘The Inside Line’ presented by the station’s Sports Editor Will O’Callaghan from 2 to 6pm
A roundtable discussion with local athletes and journalists will debate the sporting issues of the week with improved coverage of live games.
Former Heineken Cup winner Peter Bracken provides analysis on rugby, former All-Ireland Minor winning captain Craig Rogers on gaelic football, Soaring Star Sarah Anne Fitzgerald on camogie while John Hackett has the latest racing news.
