GAA President opens Colin Dunne hurling wall in Rahan

GAA President, Christy Cooney officially opened a Hurling Wall dedicated to the memory of Colin Dunne at the Shamrocks GAA pitch in Rahan last Wednesday evening, July 6.

GAA President, Christy Cooney officially opened a Hurling Wall dedicated to the memory of Colin Dunne at the Shamrocks GAA pitch in Rahan last Wednesday evening, July 6.

A big turn out of club players and members were joined by Colin’s family, relations and friends for the occasion.

Colin was a highly-respected member of the Shamrocks club before his untimely passing while running the Barcelona Marathon with friends for charity on March 1, 2009.

Several tributes were paid to him at the official opening of the hurling wall by the invited guests.
