THE Midland Schoolboy League’s Kennedy Cup squad has been announced. The players are drawn from 11 clubs across Laois and Offaly with Portlaoise and Birr having four representatives apiece.
Abbeyleix, St Aengus and Killavilla each have two representatives on the squad.
The Tournament is held in Limerick University starting on June 13 when each of the 32 affiliated Leagues are represented by thier best U-13 players who compete over an entire week with additional competitions for those teams which do not progress to the latter stages of the Cup itself.
The MSL are drawn in Group 2 alongside Wexford, Wicklow and near neighbours the Athlone and District Schoolboy League.

Meanwhile Portlaoise A have qualified from the South Leinster Dannone Finals section defeating Rathangan on penalties after a 1-1 draw. They go forward to the National Finals in the AUL complex on Sunday, June 19.
