THE 2010 Offaly GAA / Bridge House Hotel Player of the Year awards will be presented at a gala presentation dinner dance in the Bridge House Hotel this Friday, January 7.
For the second year in a row Shane Dooley has been selected as the Senior Hurler of the Year while Niall McNamee picks up his third Senior Football Award, while the Hall of Fame inductees will be Paddy Molloy and Greg Hughes.
This is the tenth anniversary of the awards scheme sponsored by the Bridge House Hotel and the winners were chosen by a selection committee comprising members of the local media - Alan Walsh & Damian Moran (Offaly Express), Kevin Corrigan & John O'Callaghan (Tullamore / Midland Tribune) and Mary Dunne (Offaly Topic).
The Offaly senior hurling team of 1985 that captured the Liam McCarthy Cup for the second time in the county's history will also be honoured at the January 7 dinner dance.
