TULLAMORE Rugby Club celebrated the 50th anniversary of winning the Provincial Towns Cup in 1976 recently.
The panel members travelled to Westport for a celebration dinner. All fifteen surviving team members travelled At the dinner toasts were offered for the team members sadly no longer with us, Pat Heffernan,Tom Darcy and Peter Egan.
At a ceremony in the Rugby club Saturday,captain of the 1976 team Mick Clavin presented a commemorative photograph to club President Jimmy Martin to be hung in the clubhouse.
