Frances Ward I am passionate about encouraging women in sport, getting outdoors and celebrating rural life. Being raised on my family’s farm in Tullamore with my siblings, I spent my childhood running through fields, going to the bog, and learning the value of hard work. Sport has always been a big part of my life, I’ve been involved with Offaly Rowing Club since I was 14, and now volunteer as a coach and club secretary. In recent years I have found love in challenging myself with triathlons and mountaineering. After graduating from NUIG with a Bachelor of Arts in 2023, I am currently in Dublin working for the Irish Civil Service. Yet, my heart remains firmly in the Faithful County.
