Shane Lowry in top ten at French Open after up and down opening round
Shane Lowry is inside the top ten at the French Open at Le Golf National Course in Paris after he finished an up and down opening round on one under par. The course will host the Ryder Cup later this year.
The Offaly man, who tried his hand at blindfolded golf this week had five birdies and four bogeys in his round to leave him in a tie for seventh just three shots behind the leader Bradley Dredge of Wales.
Graeme McDowell is one shot off the lead alongside England's Andy Sullivan.
Shane is back on course at 8.20am tomorrow.
