Shane Lowry
A strong back nine of Friday has seen Shane Lowry through to the weekend at the St Jude Classic on the PGA Tour.
The Offaly golfer struggled on Thursday and with nine holes remaining of his second round, he was in danger of missing the cut. However he upped his game hitting three birdies and six pars in his last nine holes to move to one under for the tournament and up to a tie for 40th overall.
Shane will play with Sweden's Henrik Stenson in Round 3 and he is due on course at 2.46pm Irish time.
Dustin Johnson leads the field on ten under par with Andrew Blaum and and Andrew Putnam a shot further back. Ireland's Seamus Power is in a tie for 7th on six under par while Padraig Harrington just made the cut on level par.
