Caroline Donnellan Edenderry AC Senior with the Offaly Ladies Senior Cross Country Team

National Cross Country Championships 27th Nov 2016

Edenderry AC Seniors broke new ground this weekend when our Caroline Donnellan represented the Offaly Athletics Ladies Team at the Senior National Cross Country Championships held in Abbotstown, Dublin.

Over a tough 8k course, Caroline demonstrated her durability and stamina in bringing home a bronze medal for the Offaly ladies team. Caroline’s selection and performance is indicative of the excellent work being put in by the club since its formation in 2013.

Under the guidance of our club trainer Olympian Pauline Curley; club members have competitively progressed from Couch 2 5k to completing most recently in the Dublin City Marathon. The club’s progress is best demonstrated in what Caroline represents as a proactive trainer and committee member. Well done Caroline – we are all proud of you.

Edenderry AC Seniors does charity for GOAL and HOMELESS IN IRELAND

Edenderry AC Seniors hosts a charity event at the Derry Rovers AFC facility on December 25 and 26 at 10am in aid of GOAL and HOMELESS IN IRELAND. Part of our club ethos is assisting the less well off and within the nationwide GOAL MILE charity events we are holding a one mile run/walk on both Christmas Day and St. Stephens Day to support the less well off.
Edenderry AC Seniors issues an open invite to walk, job or run a mile. This is just 4 laps of the track for an excellent cause. A donation bucket will be available at the track and all proceeds will be donated equally to GOAL and HOMELESS IN IRELAND.
