The annual Gowran eight mile race was run off last Tuesday on a wet and windy evening at Tullamore Harriers. The Gowran trophy is awarded to the first Novice athlete to cross the line and this years winner was the ever improving Jason Donegan who clocked 49 minutes.
Second Novice man was Conor Mooney, and 3rd Novice Man was Liam Byrne. The 1st Novice Lady prize went to Mary Bracken, another athlete who has posted some fine times since joining the club last year. In 2nd Novice Lady position was Sinead Rigney and Olivia Grant another newcomer to the club, earned 3rd Novice Lady prize.
Fastest overall time on the night was 45.40 for Catch Grennan, and fastest female was Michelle Mullaney (55.00).
