Slieve Bloom Cricket Club played and won the RSA Insurance Leinster Junior Cup recently at Terenure Cricket Club Dublin beating the hot favourites Greystones 2 in a closely fought game by 17 runs.

This is only the 11th time in the Junior Cup’s 103 year history that it has been won outside of Dublin and to do so in their first year in Leinster was a marvellous achievement for Slieve Bloom.

Slieve Bloom play their cricket at Frankford FC in Kilcormac and are currently fifth in Division 11 and are pushing hard for promotion. This year they have expanded and have installed an artificial grass wicket and have gained many new members.

They would like to thank Yaadgar Restaurant for their sponsorship,Offaly Sports Partnership and Frankford FC for their support.
