SHANE Lowry’s good vein of form continued last weekend when he finished in a tie for 11th at the Spanish Open in Barcelona.

Rounds of 69, 73, 70 and 72 saw the Clara native finish the tournament on -4, six shots behind winner Thomas Aiken of South Africa.

Over the four rounds Shane had a total of 16 birdies including a run of five in six holes at the end of his first round.

The result earned him over e33,000 and has moved him right up the standings in the Race to Dubai to place 117.

He will be back in action again this week at the Iberdrola Open in Majorca.
