PARENTS and students from Tullamore Kenpo Karate Studio travelled in convoy recently to the Leinster Kenpo Karate Championships in Celbridge.

Throughout the day the children competed against others from around the country for the chance of a placed trophy. It was only the second major competition the Kenpo Karate Studio had entered and everyone involved was hoping to improve on the two trophies won in Cavan a couple of months previous and that’s exactly what happened.

All the students did well and tried their best, making both parents and instructors very proud.

In total five trophies were taken by the following students; Kelly O’Brien and her daughter Melissa, Ocean, Willow and Forrest McCormack and Jamie Harte.

Jack Smith, the Studio’s Head Instructor commented, “Tullamore Kenpo Karate is growing from strength to strength and at this rate will soon be a top contender at any of the Martial Arts Competitions through out the country. Our aim is to make Tullamore proud of its Kenpo Karate Studio and for the people of the Town to support our team of students when they travel the country, representing Tullamore.”
